  1.                                   RECOVER
  2.          Recovers a file or complete disk that contains bad sectors

  5. COMMAND TYPE: External                  VERSION: 2.0 and up
  6.  
  7. USE: RECOVER [d:][path]filename
  8. or   RECOVER d:
  9.  
  10. d: path filename specifies the drive, path, and filename of the file
  11.       or files that you wish to recover.
  12.  
  13. If a filename is specified, only that file will be recovered.  If only
  14. a drive is specified, all files on that disc will be recovered.
  15. Individually recovered files will simply be written over the old file
  16. (without the defective sectors).
  17. NOTE: When you recover an entire disk, all files will be renamed and
  18. the files which have been recovered will be named in the following
  19. manner.
  20.   FILEnnnn.REC
  21. where nnnn is a sequential number starting at 001. These files will be
  22. placed in the root directory.  Since this directory can only hold a
  23. limited number of files, files may be lost when using this command.
  24. It is safer to recover the files individually.
